The PCMI 2002 Summer Session has three strands:
- Applications of the Gaussian integers and related systems
Focused exclusively on learning mathematics by working problems together, this course explores the fundamental mathematics on a topic that is rooted at the secondary level but related to the mathematical theme of the Institute.

- Math in the classroom - reflections on practice
The participants will actively investigate, consider, and discuss examples illustrating concepts and connections in school mathematics and reflect on how such ideas can shape classroom teaching.

- Working Groups
See "Introduction" link to the left.
