The M&Mπs- In-The-Cone Investigation

1. Cut out the circle. Cut the radius from 12 oπclock to the centre of the circle.

2. Form a cone by sliding the 12, 0 point to cover 1, 2, and so on. You will be told which point to line up with the 12, 0 point. Tape your cone at the assigned point.

3. Fill your cone with M&Mπs. Hold the edge up to eye level to make sure the M&Mπs are not mounded above the edge. Count the number of M&Mπs your cone contains.

4. Other participants will have been assigned your cone size. Find the mean of all the numbers of M&Mπs in your sized cone.
