In a new cross-program collaboration, this working group will participate in the Phylogenetic Trees course offered by Elizabeth Allman and John Rhodes in the Undergraduate Summer School. This new application of discrete mathematics infers evolutionary relationships from genetic codes. Participants will develop resource materials to help secondary teachers incorporate these important topics into their classrooms.
