Teacher Professional Continuum Summary
Monday - Friday, July 2 - 6, 2007
The TPC group has been divided into two writing teams focused on 2007 and 2004 materials. Cathy and Sendhil are working to capture the proceedings in the morning math class, while John and Peg are drawing upon a variety of sources to rebuild an understanding of the math class from 2004. Cathy and Sendhil have developed a template for the facilitators' guide and it has been further refined through their interchanges with Sarah and Al. The template is now being employed by both groups to frame their writing of the guides.
The group meets each day with Ben and Bowen to debrief on the mathematics and the dynamic of the morning class in order to capture a variety of perspectives. Then the two writng teams break off to pursue their own work. Sarah and Al have met with the group twice this week via teleconferencing and are in contact frequently via email.
