The Math Forum is a leading online mathematics learning community and provider of professional development. We are best known for our Ask Dr. Math®, Teacher2Teacher (T2T®), Math Tools software library, and Problems of the Week online interactive services.
From our beginning in 1992, Math Forum staff members have set the tone that every individual on the Math Forum site, from elementary students to their teachers to calculus professors to educational researchers has a voice in the community.
This commitment lets us meet learners where they are and nurture them. From
introducing problem solving with the gentle questions, "What do you Notice?
What do you Wonder?" to supporting teachers to take on projects that lead to new
professional leadership roles, the Math Forum has fostered the development of
thousands of students and teachers to find their mathematical voice.
On June 12, Peg Cagle looked at our timeline and wondered what celebrations we had planned for that Friday. Lucky for us that Peg notices things! We quickly created our Happy Birthday Math Forum blog and started collecting birthday wishes and favorite Math Forum memories. You may recognize the names of those who have commented so far!
