Geometry Working Group

The meeting began with a report from Christian, our new program committee representative. One important point was the presentation schedule for the last week. Another was canvassing the group to see who was interested in being included in activities with the international education group next week.

The group felt a need for more concrete action on our two projects. Jim proposed that each project team present a draft to the group next Tuesday, in order to focus our work. This was agreed.

Then the two teams separated to begin work on their projects. The center of mass team of Christian, Tim and Troy set off to build models. The space dissection group, Joyce and Kris, stayed behind to discuss ideas with Jim and Philip. Then they began building models with Zometools, aided by a new unofficial member of the team, Joe Frost.
