Data Analysis, Statistics and Probability Summary

All FATHOM members worked in the lab on "Fathoming Functions." We discovered how to use a slider for translations, dilations,and transformations. We also worked with adding and multiplying functions and plotting parametric equations.

Beverly and Marie are having difficulty accessing our PCMI Problem. All other participants that already had entered solutions are not having any problems with revision or sending solutions for new problems. Suzanne is working with the Math Forum to fix this. Carol revised her solution using a FATHOM document and we are still having trouble with transmission of graphics.

Marie gave a directive (from Suzanne) for all members to visit the PCMI website and "Reply" to the Discussion item she will post today, as well as post a "Discussion" item of their own. The purpose of this is to get used to the concept and format that we use, so that we remain in contact with one another when we leave Park City.

If you cannot access your email while you are here, Suzanne created a link to revise your PCMI Problem which you can access from the PCMI homepage. All you need to do is add problem.html to the web address at the top. We will only use this access while here in Park City. When we return home, all messages and url links will be addressed through our email.
