Geometrical Concepts from Constructions, Models, and Investigations SummaryFriday, July 19, 2002Joyce reported from the program committee lunch meeting. We were asked to specifically ask the new PCMI members how they had enjoyed their experience. The consensus from our group was that it was a fantastic experience. Our returning members have been asking for the past three weeks how we can manage to come back again. We intend to use the salt problem from yesterday morning as a discussion group problem and hope that it will generate lots of responses. We were all told to send our projects to Suzanne at: suzanne.alejandre@gmail.com We also were to make sure that our abstracts were in the abstract folder and were the way that we wanted them. Also, all of our files needed to be in the "to preserve" folder by 2:00 pm when the CD's will be burned for everyone. We then adjourned to the lab to quickly get all of our files in order. |
