Data Analysis, Statistics and Probability SummaryMonday - Friday, July 19-23, 2004Monday: Judy C, Warren, and Alice continued working on the polling project for AP Statistics. Jeff, Ginny, Amanda, and Lars worked on the scatterplot project, focussing on linear relationships for Algebra I. They felt that they should include some websites where linear data could be found. This would allow teacher easy access to data they could give students who may have been absent or selected inappropriate data. Judy R began work on a Fathom Power Point presentation. Beverly asked each group to provide a short outline of the projects by the end of class on Tuesday. Tuesday: Each sub group continued discussing and revising their projects. To copy most things from Fathom to a Word document the command "Copy Picture" can be used. Unfortunately items, such as the Inspector, cannot be copied in that manner. In order to be consistent, it was decided that the program SnagIt should be used to copy those items using a PC. On a Mac, screenshots can be taken using SHIFT + COMMAND + 4. All groups provided a short outline of their projects by the end of the class. Thursday: Each group continued working and revising their projects.
