How many times must a deck of cards be shuffled before it is well mixed and how does one define "well mixed" anyway? These are examples of the kinds of questions that this group will learn about while attending the Undergraduate Faculty Program (UFP) course on mixing times. After attending the course, members of this group will meet to articulate how these ideas could be introduced in a secondary mathematics classroom.
